“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” – C.S. Lewis

Ashlea Adams is a speculative fiction writer in the Florida Panhandle. She was born in Hopkinsville, KY, and spent her childhood persuading others that there was (and is) in fact a dragon on the moon and not a man on the moon. This early passion for reimagining the world around her led to her first published short stories in speculative fiction anthologies, where she explored themes of magic in everyday life. Her debut urban fantasy novel, Stitchers, combines her love of the fantastic with her deep appreciation for Southern culture, drawing inspiration from both her Kentucky roots and her current life in Florida.

When she's not staying up too late writing in her own little worlds, she is usually knitting socks and hats (sometimes with patterns inspired by her stories) or chasing down her two sons in the humid Florida heat. She believes that creativity flows between different mediums, and her fiber arts often weave their way into her storytelling, just as her stories sometimes find themselves taking shape in yarn.
